About Us
Traveller's Joy Guesthouse – Colesberg, Northern Cape Traveller's Joy is a charming blend of old-world elegance and modern comfort, located in the historic town of Colesberg on the N1 – halfway between Cape Town and Gauteng.Our spacious guest rooms each feature en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, comfortable double or queen-size beds, TVs, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and bar fridges – everything you need for a relaxing stay.Though part of South Africa's national heritage, the interior of this grand old house has been thoughtfully modernized. Each room has a private entrance, en-suite bathroom, and its own patio – ensuring guests enjoy both comfort and privacy. Safe, off-street parking is available, and the guesthouse is ideally situated within walking distance of several popular local restaurants. On site we have a "dam" to cool down on hot summer days.

This comfy room has everything you need for a laid-back stay. There’s a queen-size bed and a single bed, so it’s great for a couple with a kid. You’ll find a Microwave, TV with the Holiday Package DStv. There’s also a bar fridge to keep your drinks and snacks cool, and a little coffee station so you can start your morning right.  It’s a cozy, no-fuss space that’s got all the basics covered for a relaxed stay.

The Horse and Mill Old English-Style Pub and Restaurant is set in a beautifully restored coach house, featuring an authentic horse mill inside. The building dates back to 1840, while the horse mill itself was originally erected on the farm Sewenfontein in 1891 and brought to Colesberg in 1977. Both the building and the mill are recognized as National Monuments. Takeaway orders are available and can be delivered directly to your room. Breakfast is served at the Horse and Mill by prior arrangement.
